Privacy Policy

ShelfMark collects account, profile, library, collection, review, import, export, support, consent, billing status, and usage data needed to operate the service.

How Data Is Used

Data is used to provide reading tracking, public profile and collection sharing, recommendations, support, security, analytics, billing entitlement checks, and ads for Reader accounts where consent and law allow.

Sharing And Visibility

Reader accounts publish books and collections publicly. Reader+ accounts can use privacy controls. Downgrades preserve existing private data, but may restrict new private changes until Reader+ access is restored.

Advertising And Consent

ShelfMark may display Google ads to Reader accounts. Ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization, and analytics consent are stored separately and can be changed from account settings.

Your Choices

You can export supported library data, update account details through the account area, and contact support for access or correction requests.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account from the Delete My Profile section of the Account page. You must enter the displayed confirmation phrase. If you have a paid plan, first deactivate it from the Billing section and confirm that you have done so; choosing No cancels the deletion process.

Deletion removes your ShelfMark and authentication profile, collections, notes, reviews, social relationships, imports, goals, awards, consent records, and other account-linked information. Book records and ratings are retained without your identity and reassigned to a system deleted-reader account, while reading dates, duration, progress, and notes are erased. After deletion, you are signed out and the action cannot be undone.
